The first 800W Fresnel on the market, the Alpha 800 Plus will definitely make the difference on set. With its 175 mm Fresnel lens (commonly used by the competition on 1200W Fresnel), the Alpha 800W benefits from the characteristics common to all Alphas, with a little "Plus".

An Alpha like the others...

Like its big brothers, the Alpha 800 has a high quality of shadows and light. Shower operation (90) is another of the qualities of the Alpha range. This technical feat is possible thanks to the design of the unit (conceived as a ventilation system) combined with a flat and small reflector. Like all Alphas, the Fresnel lens can be removed to convert the projector to an Open Face source, providing a wide, even beam for crisp, sharp shadows..

...with a "Plus"

So what makes the Alpha 800 an Alpha "Plus"? The "Plus" comes from the ability to equip the device with a PAR or Zoom reflector. The K5600 R&D department has developed a G22 90 socket, which allows the lamp to be moved from a vertical to a horizontal position. The operation is done quickly: simply attach the angled socket extension to the existing socket, then slide the PAR or Zoom beamer onto the front of the unit. In a few seconds, the Fresnel projector turns into a PAR or a Zoom. The Alpha 800 Plus comes with a new braking system and a yoke that offers four different positions for the device: vertical, horizontal, and a 45, forward or backward. Finally, the Alpha 800 Plus can be used with 3200K or 5600K discharge lamps, for even more versatility.ce.

Hi-speed and dimmable ballast

The kit comes with a dimmable ballast, which operates at 300Hz or 1000Hz for high speed filming without flicker generation.
