Joker² 1600 Jo-Leko kit

Information

The 1600W is the most powerful unit in the Joker² range. At 1600W, this Joker is comparable to a 6000W tungsten spotlight and produces one stop more than our Joker² 800.

This Joker² kit includes a Joker head and ballast, along with our custom designed 1600W Bug-A-Beam adapter. The adapter comes complete with a lyre and is large enough to dissipate heat, while still being compatible with standard ellipsoidal cutters and lenses on the market*. (* see recommendation for use below)

Without the BAB adapter, the Joker can still be used as a bare bulb unit, which is optimal for use in light banks and lanterns due to its ability to create a perfectly even distribution in fixtures.

The 1600W comes with a dimmable ballast, capable of operating at frequencies of 300 or 1000 Hz for high speed filming. Drawing only 15 amps on a 120V line, the 1600W ballast can run on any available household power supply. Using the Lumenradio protocol, the new ballast now has a DMX antenna allowing it to be controlled via a tablet or smartphone.e.

NB: * The Bug a Beam 1600 system is compatible with ETC Standard cutouts (750w ) at a fixed angle. It is not recommended for Zoom cuts because of the higher heat release than on the 800.

For optimal performance, we recommend using a 36 or 50 degree lens..

The use of gobos is not recommended unless there is not much material blocking the light from passing through (louver type effects are allowed).

In addition, the use of knives should not obstruct more than 50% of the beam.
